We are James & Kenneth. Partners based in London. We are both huge fans of fantasy worlds and avid architecture enthusiasts. We started Fan Art Architecture together in 2020 after a fantastic reception to our first collection of blueprints. We sell prints of our original artworks online to customers across the world.
Through countless hours of careful observation and study, using all the source materials we can lay our eyes on, we craft stunningly accurate architectural renders of our favourite fantasy locations.
Starting life as polygons and vertices; the first part of our process is bespoke C.A.D modeling of the structure. This process can take hundreds of hours, depending on the complexity of the building. Once this stage is complete, we use these 3D models as reference for the beautiful two-dimensional illustrations that you see here.
Over five years ago, we began work on our first complex artwork inspired by our favourite iconic fantasy castle. Purely for the joy of the process, we modeled the castle from the ground up, and as we progressed further with the model, we realised this could be used as the basis for beautiful artworks. Knowing how many people were also in love with these iconic buildings, it was evident they might want to share in our interpretations too. At this moment, Fan Art Architecture was born.
